<p><a title="Wendy Lascher" href="http://www.fcoplaw.com/?p=1073">Wendy Lascher</a> is one of our go-to speakers on appellate practice skills and is an incredibly experienced attorney.  She has been speaking at our programs since about 2008 and is a joy to work with.</p>

<p>Wendy is a State Bar Certified Specialist in Appellate Law and AV-rated attorney and a Partner at <a href="http://www.fcoplaw.com">Ferguson Case Orr Paterson LLP in Ventura</a>.  She handles civil and criminal appeals in state and federal courts throughout California. She also assists trial lawyers with formulating strategy and crafting motions.</p>
<p>Before joining FCOP, Wendy spent 37 years with Lascher &amp; Lascher and has argued appeals in the U.S. Supreme Court, the California Supreme Court, the U.S. Seventh and Ninth Circuit Courts of Appeals, all six districts of the California Court of Appeal and in U.S. District Courts.</p>
<p>Active in the appellate legal community, Wendy currently serves as President of the American Academy of Appellate Lawyers.  She is a member and past president of the California Academy of Appellate Lawyers.  She has also served as chair of the State Bar’s Committee on Appellate Courts, chair of the Appellate Law Advisory Commission of the Board of Legal Specialization and President of the Ventura County Bar Association.</p>
<p>In her spare time, Wendy teaches at the Ventura and Santa Barbara Colleges of Law, is a mentor in the Big Brothers, Big Sisters program and enjoys hiking, gardening and working out. Wendy has three sons and two granddaughters.</p>

				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>FCOP associate <a href="http://www.fcoplaw.com/?p=1047" target="_blank">Leslie McAdam</a> has been awarded the President&#8217;s Pro Bono Service Award by the State Bar of California. She was recognized, along with six other attorneys and two firms, for her dedicated service to her community and compassion for those otherwise unable to afford legal services.</p>
<p>Ms. McAdam has been serving the non-English speaking residents of rural East Ventura County for over three years, and has logged over 200 hours in weekly clinics that provide legal services for agricultural workers, women, the elderly, and many others in various disputes.</p>
