Alec Yarbrough has over a decade of experience in estate planning, business law and taxation that includes years at some of the largest law firms in the nation. On the estate and taxation side of his practice, Alec assists a wide range clientele from those in need of simple trusts and core estate planning documents, to ultra-high net worth families and individuals in need of advanced tax planning strategies. He also advises clients on international estate and gift tax planning needs, charitable planning, tax controversy, business succession planning, trust administration and probate matters. When it comes to his business practice, Alec assists clients with entity formation and administration, buy-sell agreements, purchase agreements, mergers & acquisitions, and acts as outside general counsel.
In his practice, Alec caters to a variety of clients, including business owners, ranchers, farm owners, entertainers, corporate executives, entrepreneurs and those with generational wealth. He has also been published multiple times and lectured on issues related to estate and tax planning.
Alec earned both his Juris Doctor and Master of Laws (LL.M.) from the University of Miami School of Law, where he served as Secretary of the Real Property, Probate & Trust Law Society, was a member of the Tax Law Society, and acted as a student Ambassador. Prior to law school, he attended the University of California at Santa Barbara while working at a local law firm, interning at the Office of the District Attorney and participating on the University’s Mock Trial team.
Alec is a Ventura County native, and resides in Thousand Oaks with his wife and two children. Away from the office, he spends time with his family, tries to get outside and works on various home projects.
