For the last 30+ years, Art Zittell’s practice has focused exclusively on family law. Art was a respected and successful sole practitioner in Thousand Oaks, California, since 1989, before joining Ferguson Case Orr Paterson in 2018.  Art has achieved an AV Preeminent Rating from the Martindale-Hubbell attorney rating service for the last 28 years, and he has received the designation of Super Lawyer every year since 2014.

Art began his legal career as a prosecutor with the Ventura County District Attorney’s Office in 1972.  In 1974, Art entered into private practice with Thomas Hutchins, who had served at the DA’s office together with Art. Tom eventually returned to the DA’s office, and Art continued in private practice with Steven Pederson for several years before starting his own practice in 1989.

A lifelong Californian, Art Zittell attended elementary school, middle school, high school, and even college all in the San Fernando Valley. Art attended college at Valley State College, which later became CSUN. Art went on to attend Loyola Law School, where he graduated in 1971.

Art is married to his best friend, Glenda, and the two of them have been together since 1989. Art and Glenda are the parents of two Golden Doodles, Alice and Walter. Art and Glenda enjoy traveling, which they try to do often.  Art is also a golfer, belonging to a private county club where he tries to play two to three times a week, and reads daily for enjoyment.
