Certified estate planning specialist Robert England, a former licensed certified public accountant, is an AV Preeminent-rated estate planning, trust, and probate lawyer now of counsel to Ferguson Case Orr Paterson.
Bob was co-counsel and co-trustee to one of the largest trusts in Ventura County. He has also drafted covenants, conditions and restrictions for major California real estate developments. His experience and education extends further than legal affairs with an MBA from New York University. He remained in New York to study law and received his J.D. from Fordham University in 1979. He earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from California State University, Northridge. Before college, Bob served for four years in the U.S. Marine Corps.
Community engagement, particularly relating to education and health care, is another key piece of Bob’s experience. His board memberships include the Oxnard School District Education Foundation; the Oxnard College Foundation; and the Turning Point Foundation. Bob is also a member of the Planned Giving Advisory Council of California State University, Channel Islands and a co-founder of Through the Looking Glass, an annual symposium on estate planning issues.
