Christopher Kitasaki’s hands-on experience in regulatory environments gives his business clients value that goes a step beyond typical representation. A former staff attorney at the Securities and Exchange Commission’s Division of Corporation Finance in Washington, D.C., Chris has a first-hand understanding of the regulatory requirements corporations must satisfy in financing and related matters.

Chris also has more than thirty-six years of practice on behalf of business and individual clients. This experience has honed Chris’s understanding of matters such as structuring the purchases and sales of businesses, structuring commercial and agricultural property purchases and sales, securing business financing, reviewing commercial and retail leases, protecting proprietary information and assisting in business entity selection and formation. He also handles general contractual issues, business and real estate transactions, and similar business and real estate matters.

While working at the SEC, Chris augmented his legal education with an LL.M. in Taxation from Georgetown University. His original law degree was awarded by the University of San Francisco School of Law. He also earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Irvine.
