John A. Hribar

John Hribar is  a Certified Specialist in Appellate Law (by The State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization). John’s law practice is focused primarily on appeals and writs in the appellate courts, but he also works on cases in the trial courts.  He enjoys helping clients resolve difficult legal problems. Since joining Ferguson Case Orr Paterson in 2010, John has worked on more than 70 different appellate matters and has made oral arguments in more than 30 appeals.

Before joining our firm, John worked as a law clerk for the Honorable Dale S. Fischer, a judge of the United States District Court in Los Angeles. Prior to his clerkship, John practiced law at O’Melveny & Myers in Los Angeles, where he focused on complex civil litigation and white-collar criminal defense.

John earned his law degree from the University of California, Los Angeles. He graduated near the top of his class and received the Judge Barry Russell Award from the Federal Bar Association. He holds a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University, where he also played NCAA volleyball. Before pursuing a career in law, John worked as a mechanical design engineer for a large aerospace company and briefly played professional beach volleyball on the AVP Tour.
