Lauren’s educational background in economics and technology support her transactions-based practice. As an associate, Lauren has broad experience across a variety of matters, but her practice generally focuses on estate planning, trust administration, probate, real property tax issues and intellectual property transactions, including trademark and copyright matters.
Lauren graduated summa cum laude from Scripps College in Claremont, California, where she obtained her B.A. in Honors Economics and Honors Politics & International Relations. She was elected to both Phi Beta Kappa and Omicron Delta Epsilon (International Economics Honor Society). Lauren studied abroad in the Czech Republic and completed a summer internship at the Institute of International and European Affairs in Dublin, Ireland.
Lauren attended the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law (Boalt Hall). While at Boalt, Lauren concentrated her studies in business law and intellectual property, earning a certificate in Law and Technology, and along the way receiving awards for obtaining the highest grades in Copyright Law; Art and Cultural Property Law; and Intellectual Property Strategy; and the second-highest grade in Intellectual Property Transactions. She also served as Production Editor of the Berkeley Technology Law Journal (BTLJ) for two years and briefly as a research assistant.
Lauren was raised in Ojai, where her grandfather was a long-time citrus rancher and where she attended Villanova Preparatory School. Lauren is an avid amateur photographer.
