Ferguson Case Orr Paterson congratulates Josh Hopstone, who just received word of a unanimous victory at the California Supreme Court. Along with appellate lawyer Wendy Lascher, Josh represented the firm’s landowner client through years of litigation to defeat an alleged right of way across her property. That litigation ended with today’s Supreme Court decision that use of noncoastal private property by the public does not impliedly dedicate the land to the public, whether the use is for recreational or other purposes.
